David Vitter, Harold Ford, the "moral" and the hypocrisy?
Sen. David Vitter, a Republican, railed against Clinton's moral failings – Infidelity, as well as perjury and obstruction of justice – and has since been found to have patronized prostitutes. Last fall, opponents Democratic candidate Harold Ford frequently criticized its offer of Scripture and adherence to family values by running the time noting that commercial had gone on a Playboy event with strippers. However, many said Ford's attacks were unfair and in bad taste. What is your reaction to these events? What is similar? What is different? Thanks for your comments.
Not only Vitter, but Gingrich. Do not forget that while he was ranting Clinton to Newt was porking his girlfriend to the chagrin of Mrs. Newt then. The attacks were unfair because Ford Ford attended a Playboy-sponsored after the Superbowl, the party. No strippers. Many people, no evidence ever came to talk of a Playmate. The ads were in poor taste because it was a white woman to act as she and Ford had had a meeting or an issue, and ended with a nod to the woman allegedly Ford. In short, the magazine took part and made it sound like an adventure of poor quality. You have to ask, with Newt married three times, and three times married Rudy and McCain, who in his biography says hes been unfaithful, not to mention that he was representative of one day, why do the Republicans want to do something very important to be the party of family values. Bill and Hill have been married for what? Thirty, thirty- five years? Through bills against wind and tide with and without a wandering eye, but they are still married, still plugging away, and all who say she leave at the end have proved wrong. Hypocrisy is saying one thing for public consumption, and doing another in private. Neither party is immune to that, but Democrats not put forward as minor gods to get votes. Republicans act as if they had a private line to the Almighty.
