With greater participation of women in the British workforce, the fairer gender is not willing to stick to a bad marriage because of an underlying sense of insecurity and fear of loneliness. The concept of stability has changed over time and marriage is no more the only source of identity for women.

The social trends have undergone a change and men are more likely to be on the receiving end. The percentage of women initiate divorce has increased over the years. According to recent polls, 66 percent of the time it is women who initiate a divorce, while for men this figure is 41 percent. Women also seem to be more suitable for dealing with post-divorce trauma and stress compared with men. In fact, women often report a huge increase in positive self-image and self-esteem after divorce. A woman may choose to divorce her husband for a variety of reasons.

Male Hegemony

Women are no longer willing to supply the traditional male hegemony, with an attitude passivity and restraint. Many times, women find they have no say in the internal process of decision making and this causes resentment and frustration. Women often feel unable to cope with such unhealthy trends in their marriage. This leads to alienation, discontent and intolerance. Not being willing to be a sacrifice on the altar of motherhood and family, a woman may opt for a divorce on stage.

Infidelity

Infidelity is the worst that can happen a marriage. The feeling of frustration and anger generated by the attitude of a cheating husband may ask a woman to seek divorce. On the other hand, a woman can engage in an affair, which can boost your divorce her husband. With greater participation of women in the workforce, women are more likely unhappy entering male supporters who are interested in being part of his life.

Emotional or physical abuse

The physical and emotional abuse is an evil that was not given much consideration in the past. Women often succumbed to domestic violence due to lack of confidence, social pressures and distorted ethical expectations. In the current scenario, the adverse consequences of physical and emotional abuse in women has been recognized by society. Women are aware of the social and legal resources at their disposal and often prefer to end their marriages to be a passive victim.

Many times, husbands do not fulfill their conjugal duties due to a variety of reasons. A spouse can be financially irresponsible or simply careless to his responsibilities as a husband and father. Drug and alcohol can cause a person to ignore their social, emotional and financial obligations to their families. Sometimes husbands simply dispose of their household responsibilities, leaving their wives. In such a situation, the woman has every right to seek divorce.

Simply The indifference

Sometimes, spouses lose track of each other because he was busy with her career and employment. A woman may find her husband not able or willing to meet their basic needs. In today's busy lifestyles, people often look for companionship and intimacy in your marriage. There is no dearth of physical intimacy in society. What is missing is empathy and understanding. A cruel or insensitive behavior of a husband can make his wife fall in love with him. This eventually can lead to divorce.

Unrealistic expectations

Sometimes women get carried away by a romantic view of love and tend to harbor unrealistic expectations of their marital relationship. They may be looking for a Prince Charming who would be a perfect lover. Men, on the contrary, most appear to be satisfied with his wife, food and a job. This anomaly of opinions could lead to conflict. Sometimes, women tend to mix marriage and courtship, while use Spouses who is after marriage. This unexpected behavior is often taken with resentment and frustration for women. Therefore, there is no doubt that these expectations unrealistic marriage can be disastrous and could result in a divorce.

  2. One. One time is considered a mistake. Everbody makes mistakes and should be forgiven..but if he keeps on cheating, its intentional and he’s just out to hurt you. He’s not remorseful about what he did or else he would have nipped it in the bud. Don’t put up with it anymore. He sees that you’re willing to take it so of course he’s gonna cheat! "A man can only do what you LET him do". Life is too short, don’t put yourself through that kind of stress. Trust me, there’s someone out there who will treat you better. Good Luck!

I think you just know… and no I don’t believe in serial cheating, every person is different and some people will always cheat but you should know there character well enough if you are married. every makes mistakes sometimes and cheating is a huge mistake that your spouse could make but if you think they are a good moral person who Truly loves you…. they will most likely learn from that mistake
