The history of India has been whitewashed and distorted first by European rulers which after Independence were continued by eminent historians of India and his supporters of leftist, secular and progressive auto India claimed for their own purposes. They painted the period the invasion of pre-Islamic as Dark Age and have glorified the Islamic period to be very peaceful and prosperous.
